This week begins the International Sterile Processing Professionals Appreciation Week. Take time this week to personally appreciate each of your professionals in Sterile Processing. Here are a few insights into the appreciation and retention relationship:

• A recent workplace study conducted by Clear Review found the number one workplace frustration to be a lack of appreciation regarding effort and performance.
• In companies where there is a strong focus on managers praising and recognizing employee performance, engagement levels increased by nearly 60 percent.
• When employees were asked what their managers could do to improve engagement, 58 percent answered with “give recognition.”
